HOW TO MAKE GINGER BEER
You Need
** are for the "concoction" mixture
- 20 oz ginger juice*
- 25 oz simple syrup (1:1 sugar & water)
- 25 oz sugar*
- 10 oz lemon juice*
- one habanero pepper (hear me out)
- yeast
- ^^DON'T FORGET THE YEAST^^
- a juicer
- a small pot (or a large cauldron)
- bottles
- a bottle sealer
- the willpower to wait 28 hours
Steps
- Peel the ginger
- Juice it and strain it to remove the juicy bits
- Make sure you got ALL of the bits out... unless you like bits... so why not keep a few bits?
- Make the concoction with your bitty juice
- Mix ingredients together
- Place a bit of habanero and a "smidgen" of yeast in each bottle
- Pour the concoction into the bottles, filling it about an inch below the top
- Cap the bottles and swirl them, clockwise, upside down, and anti-clockwise a "few" times
- Leave bottles at room temperature for 28 HOURS- don't even think about adjusting the temperature in your house, you impatient Americans! Be lukewarm for a mere 28 hours and experience bliss
